The perfect quantity and quality of light not only has a positive effect on avoiding unwanted light emissions, but is also a key factor in reducing energy demand. Public lighting accounts for up to 50 percent of the energy consumption of cities and municipalities. Light therefore plays a decisive role in the goal of becoming climate-neutral and protecting our environment.

Smart Lighting enables light to be switched and dimmed according to need, so that light is there when it is needed and recedes when it is not. In this way, safety and orientation can be garanteed. In addition, it simplifies use and the operating and maintenance effort is significantly reduced.

It is our aspiration to design products in such a way that they exploit the current technical possibilities and at the same time are open to further developments. Many Selux luminaires are optionally available with the Zhaga interface according to Zhaga Book 18 standard. This interface allows the connection of different luminaire controllers and sensors and facilitates the entry into the world of smart lighting. Depending on the application, smart components from Esave or Tvilight, for example, can be integrated and different smart lighting ideas can be easily implemented.
