PDT architects responded to its own brief to create an inspirational, vibrant studio that encourages creativity, community and transparency throughout the 1370sqm office interior covering two floors and an expansive roof terrace space. An interconnecting stair provides a strong visual connection between floors, activating entry and reception areas and adding to the sense transparency between spaces. The design intent from the outset was to emphasise the long-standing honest and reliable reputation of the practice partnered with a commitment to innovation, creativity and design, through the relationship and transparency of spaces. Pre-planning and collaboration with multiple building contractors enabled the incorporation of base building structural and services elements into the design, creating the pared back aesthetic intended. Finishes are refined and simple, selected for their natural timelessness. Timber and concrete provide warmth and texture with accents of colour to create an energetic and stimulating range of spaces.

The lighting of the office floors is done by Selux M60 LED in a special zigzag design.

  • The M is a highly flexible family of luminaires combining a virtually universal range of applications with minimalist design. Thanks to the manifold assembly variants, profile widths and optics systems, this system of light channels can provide a custom lighting solution for even the most specialist requirements precisely to the millimetre, whether as single luminaires or a complex lighting structure.
