A part of the world heritage site on Berlin’s “Museums Island”, the “Neue Museum” was originally designed by August Stüler for use only during the hours of daylight.

A part of the 11 year reconstruction, the museum´s new lighting concept pays tribute to this original principle. Directed, natural sunlight is supported and supplemented by artificial lighting fixtures. The result is a reserved lighting ambience, seldom detracting from the architecture of this meticulously restored building.
