The Museum of Russian Icons, located in Clinton MA, was founded by Gordon Lankton as a non-profit educational museum. It has one of the largest private collections of important historical Russian icons outside of Russia. The collection includes about 340 painted icons from over the span of six centuries. The museum itself has focused on sustainability and efficiency, revamping a 150-year-old mill with photovoltaic solar panels, LED lighting, and automated displays, while at the same time retaining the original brick façade and gabled roof.
The Museum of the Russian Icons 6,000 sq ft building has a beautifully coordinated installation of M60 spackle flange fixtures in the executive director's office and conference room as well as the entry and reception area. The flush, recessed, flangeless and closely spaced fixture rows compliment the contemporary design of the museum’s interior space. The function of these fixtures is to provide general illumination as well as emergency sources with the internally fitted back up inverter.
The Selux M60 recessed fixture is an ideal extruded form, great for an array of interior applications. The M60 fixture allows for end-caps to be flush against walls and other structural forms, as well as angular connections at any location. The M60 is designed to create clean, even lines of light, in long runs or geometric configurations. Along with design flexibility there is also a range of different shielding and lamping options. The M60 fixture is available as part of our QuickShip line. (See link on the right for more QuickShip information.)
