KAUST becomes world's largest LEED Platinum project!

KAUST built in Saudi Arabia is an international, graduate-level research university dedicated to inspiring a new age of scientific achievement in the Kingdom that will also benefit the region and the world. KAUST is the realization of a decades-long vision of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The university prides itself on excellence not just in education, but also in smart, enviornmentally-friendly design.

KAUST’s new campus is not only the first LEED-certified project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, but also the world’s largest LEED Platinum project. SELUX M-Series fixtures were chosen for their high efficiency, versatility, and high quality. SELUX M60 and M100 fixtures illuminate multiple campus buildings providing comfortable, direct lighting in both educational and recreational settings. In addition, 1800 ARC fixtures, 400 Saturn 3 fixtures, and 300 Discera fixtures (not shown) adorn several open roads, plazas, and parking lot areas campus wide.

Recently, KAUST was announced as a choice of one of the top 10 examples of sustainable architecture and green design by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and its Committee on the Environment (COTE). To read more, click here.
