Artec® S6 Linear Chosen for Contemporary Lobby Design

Gateway Village is a vibrant commercial project consisting of two large, mix-use buildings that are connected by a garden plaza. Each building has five identical elevator lobbies as part of its general public entry and circulation zones. The primary architectural element within each lobby is a curved ceiling of grated aluminum.

To illuminate these distinctive, stainless steel or aluminum-finished ceilings, the architect specified indirect continuous linear fluorescent pendant fixtures to run along their midsections. The architect liked the asymmetric look of the se’lux Artec S6 as it provided an extruded profile that could be applied in individual or continuous rows and be either wall mounted or pendant supported. He asked the company to customize the fixture, so it would help create a signature look for each lobby.

Selux joined two extruded pendant fixtures back-to-back, so they would span the entire length of each ceiling. This "double-winged" profile provides an asymmetric throw of light in a mirror fashion. The impressive design of the Artec S6 linear fixtures perfectly compliments the contemporary architectural spaces. The client is absolutely thrilled with the results.
