Telus Corporation

TELUS Corporation (formally PSINet) is one of Canada's leading providers of data, Internet Protocol (IP), voice and wireless communications services. The exterior lighting project was part of a renovation and addition to an existing building that served as a company headquarters.

The design team required a fixture to illuminate the landscape areas and pathways leading to the entrances of the facility. The luminaire design needed to be distinctive and high-tech, yet required clean-flowing lines that would not compete with the strong features of the architecture. Illumination criteria also dictated the use of high performance metal halide lamps; however, the fixture had to be capable of delivering uniform, controlled brightness that would not visually disturb the occupants and security cameras.

The unique, graceful form and uniform indirect lighting of the Selux Ritorno RA provided the perfect blend of design and performance engineering. Indeed the Ritorno fixtures, with their reverse tapered poles and beautifully designed reflector shades, have greatly enhanced the architecture of the building complex.
