Beverly Hills’
so-called “Golden Triangle” – the world-famous and relatively compact
retail and business district that is home to Rodeo Drive and several
hundred high-end boutiques – was recently given a major update.
Included in these improvements were better and more accessible parking, improved pedestrian
and vehicle navigation on walkways and streets, and bold exterior
lighting solutions by Selux.
To capitalize on the “edgy” international theme conveyed by the
district, the design team chose Selux’s postmodern Ritorno and Stradex
fixtures and Selux poles for pedestrian and roadway lighting.
Three hundred Selux fixtures and poles unify the cityscape with a
strong, integrated look. Ritorno pedestrian luminaries provide
graceful, indirect and non-glaring sidewalk lighting, which invite
evening strolls through the district. High-tech and sleek Stradex
roadway fixtures are equipped with precision reflectors provide
effective direct street lighting. All of the fixtures – including
combinations of the Ritorno and Stradex fixtures – were mounted on
Selux Urbi poles. Modular in design, these poles offer 33
different user configurations including attachment points for permanent
and seasonal banner arms, signage, pedestrian push signals and
integrated traffic signals.
