A solar alternative for downtown Puerto Rico
The Popular Center at Banco Popular in the city of Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, was seeking a sleek, energy-saving fixture to illuminate its exterior and adjacent parking lots. Located in the bustling downtown center of the city, the goal was to find a light fixture that didn't require patching into the already overloaded power grid. They found the perfect compliment of style, function, and energy savings in the Selux Discera Solar fixture.
Discera Solar offers a sleek architectural form in a solar powered configuration featuring a 39 watt metal halide light source with well defined IDA certified dark sky friendly Full Cutoff optics. Engineered to achieve many years of low maintenance, self-contained performance. Sealed gel batteries and "smart controller" held aloft in a PVC easy access compartment.
