SELUX continuing education program

In the spirit of forward-thinking and progress SELUX is glad to announce that it will be commencing its 2009 Continuing Education Program.

With the help of Hanley Wood University and Architect CES, SELUX will be giving a number of engaging programs on today's hot lighting issues, such as solar and LED. Here is what we have currently available:

Program Title:
Understanding Lighting Design: How optical systems increase luminaire efficiency.
Program Number: 5718
Credits: 1 AIA/CES HSW LU Hour
Program Overview:
Well planned lighting design can improve the functionality and aesthetics of a space or structure. This one hour learning unit, by James Brigagliano, will help you describe the basics of how light works.
Program Objective:
You will be able to identify how optical systems shape and bend light for design purposes, and be able to identify light sources for specific applications. Finally, you will explore aesthetic considerations for lighting design applications.
Tools Required: A computer with Adobe Acrobat to read PDF

To participate, download the PDF listed on the right (Continuing Education Supplemental Reading).

Once you have read the PDF you can go to www.ArchitectCES.com and log in. If you are a new user, accounts are free and easy to create. There you can take the test online and receive credit for the course. All courses are AIA approved and FREE of charge if completed on ArchitectCES.com.
