The founding of the company
During the Berlin blockade in 1948 people only have electricity for two hours a day. Too little for a small factory, which is dependent on light even when there is no electricity.
Hermann Bansbach has the idea of producing a 24V battery charger that can store enough electricity in the two hours to guarantee that there is always light for the rest of the time (always light = semper lux).
Two years later Hermann Bansbach extends his know-how to the design and production of various luminaires for fluorescent lamps, thereby laying the foundation stone for the development of Semperlux as a company.
