Product development in Intelligent Solutions is based on innovations, energy efficiency and user friendliness. Using core technologies such as DALI, DMX RDM, ART-NET and Ethernet networks. The Intelligent Solutions business division offers Selux customers a holistic solution, from planning and project management to manufacture, implementation and after-sales service, providing single source support for individual customer solutions from.

Light Management and Architainment

The days when light could just be switched on or off have gone forever. In many areas where there is a need for multifunctionality, a professional light management system has now become the technical standard. As well as guaranteeing energy-efficient control of light systems, Light Management can create comfortable and flexible light moods including colour control for unique lighting experiences in all surroundings. Architainment solutions represent a fusion of architectural and entertainment lighting. Use of DMX RDM in a lighting system also ensures digital communication beyond the DALI interface. Nowadays, media projections also require special light management solutions and this logical expansion of our product range is our response to such requirements.

Combining cutting-edge OLED technology, electronics and control technology, the lighting fixture manufacturer Selux and new media design studio ART+COM have opened a new chapter in professional lighting. Through the interplay of kinetic aesthetics and the dynamics of the light a new world of lighting possibilities is now available. Classical fixture typology is expanded through the integration of mechanical movement, and new directions open up for the use of organic light emitting diode technology.

Its 1.2 m x 2.4 m body housing 140 paper-thin Tridonic OLED modules combines light scenes and movement patterns into a series of carefully designed individual choreographies. One such choreography brings to mind the gentle movement of the manta ray. Thanks to the use of custom-built intelligent control technology the overall quantity of light emitted from the fixture remains constant. The result is a fascinating combination of light control and kinetics. The presentation of the Kinetic Light by members of the competence network Vikora at the Light & Building 2012 is government-funded within the scope: “Gemeinschaftsaufgabe zur Verbesserung der regionalen Wirtschaftsstruktur” (GRW) by the federal / country commitee.
